IMPORTANT: Reserve hotels early as there is a huge walleye fishing tournament in town that will have most hotels booked up well in advance. All match times will be in CENTRAL TIME. We are right on the time zone line, so make sure you set your clocks accordingly!

The THS Steel Challenge is bringing the PRS back to the Dakotas and is sure to be a popular one, so mark it on your calendars and get signed up early! Expect 18-20 challenging stages of field fire with several animal targets, solid props and well thought out stages that shooters of all skill levels will enjoy. Shooters will experience some South Dakota hunting inspired stages with a balanced amount of movement on stages.

Targets can range from 300-1150 yards with the majority being in the 400-800 yard range. This is a national level match, so don’t expect a lot of targets over 2MOA in size. Round count will be around 200 plus some extra for sight in and possible re-shoots. We will provide lunch on stages Saturday and a banquet meal will be provided on Sunday after the match is over. Water will provided on stages throughout the match.

Check In: Friday, July 14th - 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM with zero board available to everyone. If you would like to check dope or shoot targets from our props and barricades, we will have a $30 cash fee during sign in. All of this money will be used to assist RO's for their time and expenses helping out with the match.

Saturday, July 15th: MANDATORY Match brief and safety meeting at 7:30 AM. Shooting to begin at 8:00 AM. Expect to be done around 3:00 PM.

Sunday, July 16th: Meet on your stage and shooting will start by 7:00 AM. Awards banquet will follow the completion of the match at the Community & Youth Involved Center in Fort Pierre, SD.

Match is located 20 minutes from the Pierre Regional Airport, 2.5 hours from the Rapid City Regional Airport and 3.5 hours from the Sioux Falls Regional Airport.
Pierre and Fort Pierre have many hotels available but will likely fill up quickly with the walleye tournament in town. Murdo and Kennebec have hotels as well but are about an hour drive to the match. We MIGHT have a hunting lodge rented out for additional people – stay tuned or contact the MD for lodge info.
