EVENT DETAILS

Welcome to the 2025 ILPRS Season.

ILPRSC Matches is a fast-paced long-range shooting competition that will test your rifle marksmanship skills as you manage various barricades and obstacles to engage targets from 200 - 600 yards. Matches consist of 8-10 stages where you will engage steel targets from different positions and various barricades. Target sizes are designed to be challenging. Target distances are usually known so shooters should have a good DOPE out to 600 yards.

This year ILPRS is teamed up with the Precision Rifle Regional Series. All ILPRSC matches will also count for PRS Regional Points, Great Lakes Region. If you are a PRS Member please remember to select a division and provide your PRS number for scoring. With the addition of the Sportsman Division, we will be asking shooters for rifle caliber and estimated weight at registration. Rifles will be weighed at match as required.

More information about the PRS Regional Series can be found here.

https://www.precisionrifleseries.com/profiles/clubs/GL

Matches start at 9:00 am with a mandatory safety brief at 8:30 am. Registration opens at 8:00 am. Matches typically take 4-5 hours to complete.

ILPRSC will follow the PRS 2025 rule book for scoring, match points, and safety.

Bolt action rifles are the most common firearm of choice but semi-automatic platform rifles are welcome. Bolt action rifles and semi-automatic rifles will be scored the same.

Magnum calibers are not allowed. Please adhere to a 3100-fps maximum muzzle velocity for all rounds fired. Typical calibers are .308, 6.5 Creedmoor, .260 Remington, 6mm, 7mm, and .243 Winchester. 223 Remington loads with a heavier bullet can also be used successfully.

Bring a MINIMUM of 100 rounds to the match. While the course of fire is less than 100 rounds, bring extra to account for any necessary reshoots.

Shooters should bring a scoped rifle, bipod, ammo, and good DOPE. Shooters can also use support bags and slings, but these are not required. Tripods will be allowed on specific stages. Certain stages may limit the use of support bags and props.
