EVENT DETAILS
The 2019 Quiet Riot Precision Rifle Series points match will be held Friday, May 31st and Saturday June 1st. Gunwerks will be the 2019 title sponsor for the Quiet Riot match this year. The match will be located 30 minutes outside of Price, UT at the old mining town of Hiawatha.
As with past Quiet Riot matches, all competitors must run a suppressor/silencer on their rifle. If you do not have one, representatives from Gunwerks will be on hand to loan a suppressor out to you each morning of the match. The suppressors will be returned to the Gunwerks reps each evening prior to competitors leaving the match location. Gunwerks will assign competitors the same suppressor for both days of shooting. They are also giving competitors who need to borrow suppressors the opportunity to choose between their new Six or Eight suppressors.
Every competitor attending the match will be able to verify zero before shooting commences on both days of the competition. Some chronographs will also be available to double-check your muzzle velocity on Friday, May 31st.
Like last year, we will have a few stages in the urban environment of this old Ghost Town. Some of the shooting positions will be located inside of buildings on the property. There is a variety of terrain that can allow for some high angled shooting as well as some extended distance engagements. The area has some unique features, some of which are due to the mining history of the property: old, concrete infrastructure, abandoned buildings and machinery, etc., all at 7,000 feet above sea level.
This match is being supported by some of the best companies in the industry. To put a little extra fun into the weekend, we are going to have some vendors out there doing product demonstrations Friday evening. Vudoo Gunworks has offered to host an optional Rimfire side competition after the match on Friday. More details on the product demos and side match will be announced in the coming weeks.
Based on historical temperatures in the area for this time of year, we expect to have highs in the mid 70's and lows in the mid 40’s. The closest hotels will be in Price, UT, which is approximately 26 minutes from Hiawatha, UT.
